Phosphorescent Fluorite - El Potosi #6 Popular Crystals_Satin Spar Harmonises mindThis very new find Fluorite from December 2025 comes from the El Potosi Mine in Mexico. It has an unusual shape for Fluorite, and the current theory is that these may in fact be pseudomorphs after Calcite. They display not only fluorescence in longwave 365nm light, but also phosphorescence, which depending on the piece, can last several seconds after the UV light is turned off (this is best viewed in complete darkness).
