The band was formed in 1976 by Ian Knox Carnochan, Pat Collier, John Ellis and John Eddie Edwards. In 1976 they were backed by Sex Pistols producer Chris Spedding, who recommended the band to the successful RAK label. The band had legendary shows on John Peels BBC Radio 1 and played the pioneering punk venue: Londons Roxy
