It dates from the latter half of the 19th century, around 1880, one size featuring a Japonesque pastoral scene, the other repeating lines of gold flowers in yellow, rose, and green gold. The design and craftsmanship are both exceptional, and the patina it's developed is the proverbial icing on the cake. The Aesthetic Movement in
