It features a stunning view of John Miltons Cottage. In 1665, Milton and his wife retreated here to escape the Great Plague in London. Though he lived in the cottage for less than a year, it remains significant as his only surviving residence. It was within these walls that Milton completed Paradise Lost, with the early ideas for Paradise Regained
