The distillery is one of the few remaining that are located in the city itself and do not produce outside of it. Oban forms the border between the Scottish Highlands and the Islands, both geographically and in terms of the character of the single malt itself. Bottlings from the distillery are rather rare. Oban is known for its 14 year old single malt. which is part of the
